Chris Bianchi is an American anchor and meteorologist who is currently working at 9NEWS. He began serving as an anchor and meteorologist in the summer of 2021. He also often contributes to weather reports as he broadcasts in Spanish for 9NEWS’ digital side. In addition, he joined the 9NEWS team in May 2021.

Previously, he worked for Spectrum Networks as a meteorologist for their app from 2020 through May 2021. Furthermore, he also worked for a period of six years for WeatherNation and wrote weather articles for the St. Paul Pioneer Press, The Washington Post, the Denver Post, and the Boston Herald.
In addition to serving as a meteorologist, he has also been serving as the voice of the University of Denver’s men’s and women’s soccer teams for a number of years. He also wrote about Colorado politics for Westword.
Connecticut is his native home and he attended Boston University where he graduated in 2009 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. He also did attend Mississippi State University where he received his certification in Broadcast Meteorology and graduated in 2012. In addition, the National Weather Association awarded him with a Broadcasters’ Seal of Approval.
Bianchi is also a broadcast ambassador for the American Meteorological Society’s Committee for Hispanic and Latinx Advancement. During his leisure time, he enjoys skiing, soccer, running, and traveling with his girlfriend.
