In 2013, Torres achieved a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communication and Media Studies at the Texas State University-San Marcos. While in college, she was part of KTSW FM, which was the official radio station of Texas State University. She began her professional career at WOAI-TV in December 2013 as a production assistant. She was with the team before moving on to Project Spurs as a staff writer in 2014. Previously, she had departed from her position as a multi-media journalist (MMJ) at News 4 San Antonio WOAI in July 2023. In August of the same year, she announced her new role as a multimedia journalist with FOX News, based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Additionally, she had previously returned to WOAI, where she had previously interned, in early 2022.
The San Antonio native’s career path included a stint in Corpus Christi, where she served as an anchor/reporter for KRIS 6 and later as a Public Information Officer (PIO) for the city. Additionally, she worked as a reporter for the San Antonio Scorpions FC and as a DJ at KKYX San Antonio.
