Wright arrived in Joplin in July 2022, becoming a valuable addition to the Four States Sports Report team. The young man, hailing from a small town in New Mexico, now witnesses firsthand the excellence of sports in the Four States area. Before joining the Four States Sports team, he recently completed his college education and worked as a part-time sports reporter in Lubbock, Texas, contributing to KAMC/KLBK.
His journey led him to Joplin, following Route 66. Growing up in the quaint town of Belen, New Mexico, he pursued higher education at Texas Tech University, earning his bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a focus on Sports Media. During his time at Texas Tech, he actively participated in various sports organizations, such as the campus radio station KTXT, and contributed to coverage of Texas Tech sports for Guns Up Nation.
Outside of his professional pursuits, he finds joy in watching sports, passionately supporting his Red Raiders, and enduring the annual heartbreak of being a Dallas Cowboys fan. He also indulges in a love for movies and TV shows, often tuning in to classics like Seinfeld or Friends, as well as enjoying newer series like Peaky Blinders.
