Charles Divins is an American anchor and reporter working at Spectrum News 1 as a morning anchor. He joined the Spectrum News 1 news team in August 2020.
Prior to joining Spectrum News 1, Divins was an actor who appeared in many television shows. Texas is his native home and he attended Richland Community College and ArtCenter College of Design. He has previously worked at WDSU 6 (NBC) in New Orleans where he served as a morning anchor. In addition, Charles has in the past served as the co-host of The Daily Buzz which is a nationally syndicated morning show, and as correspondent of K NBC’s YourLA and NBC’s LXTV 1st Look.
Furthermore, Divins began his career in front of the camera as he spent more than six years on the NBC daytime drama Passions. Not long after, he relocated to primetime and he spent the season on the WB sitcom Half and Half. While in this role, he shared roles on popular television shows such as; Melrose Place, CSI, and My Boys.
