Candace McCowan is an American anchor and reporter working for WSB as a weekend evening anchor at 11 pm and a weekday reporter. She joined the WSB team in July 2022, after previously working for WABC 7.

Alpharetta, Georgia is McCowan’s native home and she attended Centennial High School where she graduated proudly with a diploma. Later in 2003, she joined The University of Alabama where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast News and  Political Science. In January 2007, she secured a job at FOX28 where she served as a reporter for two years. Later on, she relocated to Memphis where she worked for WREG as a morning reporter for five years till January 2014, when she left the station.

In addition, she has also worked in Tampa/St. Petersburg, Florida Area at WFLA-TV as an anchor and reporter for three years. After leaving Tampa, she relocated to New York, New York in December 2016, and joined WABC7. While she worked at WABC, she served as a reporter for almost 6 years before later joining WSB-TV in July 2022. Furthermore, she has covered the pandemic from the epicenter in the United States and covered protests and rioting after the death of George Floyd.
