Bruce Alan is an American radio anchor working for WTOP as a morning anchor from 5 am to 10 am. He has been working at WTOP since October 1990, after previously working at WWRC Radio where he was a talk show host.
He is a steady and reassuring presence during the chaos of breaking news as he has the ability to keep calm and focused during a crisis. Over the years, he has received many awards for his outstanding work such as the regional awards from the Associated Press, the Edward R. Murrow Award from the Radio-TV Digital News Association, and other news organizations. Prior to joining WTOP, he worked at News-Talk 980 WRC where he served as a morning co-host while he was at the station, partnered with legendary broadcaster and former “Joy Boy,” Ed Walker.
