Brent Hardin Biography
Brent Hardin is an American anchor working for FOX 61 where he serves as a weeknight anchor at 5 pm, 10 pm, and 11 pm. He joined the FOX 61 team in March 1999, after previously working for KSHB-TV.
He was brought up in Denver, Los Angeles, Houston, Phoenix, and Dallas. Ever since he began his television career, he has resided in Harrisburg, Tulsa, and Kansas City. In 1979, he joined Oral Robert University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Design 1979. Hardin has had a vast experience in television news as he has chased tornadoes in the Midwest’s infamous “Tornado Alley,” and reported live from the Olympic Games in Atlanta.
In addition, Brent has had interviews with famous and interesting people such as Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, and Jay Leno. He has also worked together with doctors while they performed a kidney transplant, and over the years, he has been honored with many broadcasting awards. Furthermore, together with other reporters, they were honored with an Emmy nomination and a first-place Associated Press award for their coverage of a major rowhouse fire in Pennsylvania. The Oklahoma Sierra Club named him the Environmental Reporter of the Year and he was honored with a first-place award by the Oklahoma Associated Press. The Missouri Association of Broadcasters also awarded him with a Certificate of Merit for his newscast in Kansas City.
