Brenda Ordonez is an American reporter working for FOX19 WXIX. She joined the FOX19 news team in 2023, after previously working for CAN-TV Chicago.

Ordonez graduated with her Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University and Bachelor of Science in Communication and Media Studies from Marian University of Fond du LacMarian University of Fond du Lac. Ordonez served as a multimedia journalist for CAN-TV Chicago before joining the FOX19 NOW. There, she covered underprivileged neighborhoods on the south side of the city. As a result of her effort, she was given the opportunity to travel to the border city of El Paso, Texas to cover the migrant crisis following the expiration of Title 42 and to act as a national correspondent.
In addition to her career, Brenda produced two short-form documentaries including “The Perilous Journey To The American Dream” which was her first documentary. It was published by the Illinois Latino News Network and later played in a Chicago theater. Her second documentary “Somos Venezolanos” was produced in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and was part of a collaboration. This particular documentary focused primarily on immigration within Latin American countries.
Brenda has also worked in other stations including as a digital content producer, writing and publishing news articles for WFRV-TV CBS Local 5, in Green Bay, Wisconsin. During her spare time, Brenda enjoys solving puzzles.
