Bob Kelly is an American traffic anchor and reporter working for FOX 29 as a morning traffic reporter on Good Day Philadelphia. He joined the FOX 29 news team in October 2014.
In addition, Kelly also serves as the morning host of “Breakfast with Bob,” Kelly’s Classroom,” and “Town Takeover.” He also serves as the host of “Kelly Drives,” which is a weekly half-hour show that debuted in February 2022, and airs Thursdays at 6:30 pm. Before he joined FOX 29, he worked at CBS 3 in Philadelphia where he served as a traffic anchor for 13 years. Bob was the first Philadelphia traffic anchor to report in front of the green screen.
Over the years, Bob has entertained sports fans on the Sixers games, the Eagles, and Flyers on his popular segment “Tailgate Takeover.” For over 15 years, Bob has served as the co-host of the Philadelphia St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Northeast Philadelphia is where Bob was brought up and he attended North Catholic High School where he graduated proudly. He then attended Temple University where he studied journalism. He started his career as a radio disc jockey, working alongside Jerry Blavat, ‘The Geator.’
