Bob Halloran is an Aamerican sports anchor and reporter working for WCVB-TV as a weekly sports anchor and reporter. He joined the WCVB-TV team in 2003, as a freelance anchor/reporter before being appointed as a full-time anchor/reporter in 2014.

Halloran is also a successful author, movie consultant, and sports writer. Before he joined the WCVB tea, he worked at stations such as WFXT in Boston, WPRI in Providence, RI, and ESPN. While he worked at ESPN, he served as an anchor and reporter for ESPN.com for three years. In addition, while working for Boston’s WFXT-TV Channel 25, he served for three years as a weekend sports anchor.

Furthermore, Bob also worked at WPRI-TV in Providence, R.I. for five years as a sports director and at WCVX-TV in Hyannis, Mass for four years. Halloran’s broadcasting career began at Cape 11 Alive where he was a news anchor and reporter. Over the years, Bob has authored a number of books such as Count The Rings. The book chronicles the first ten New England sports championships of this century.

In addition, he has also written a book entitled, Irish Thunder: The Hard Life and Times of Micky Ward, and this book earned his a spot as a technical consultant to the Oscar-nominated movie “The Fighter.” A number of other books that Halloran has written include; Stephen Flemmi and the FBI, Destiny Derailed, Breakdown, A Family’s Fight for Justice Against Whitey Bulger, and all the proceeds from his book, “The Fellowship of the No Longer Miserable” go to the Jimmy Fund.

Furthermore, for Bob’s sportscasting, he has won two Boston/New England Emmy Awards and he received two honors from the Associated Press. He has also served as a board member for Hearth, which is a charitable organization devoted to ending elder homelessness.
