Bisi Onile-Ere is an American Emmy award-winning anchor and reporter working for FOX 9 as the co-anchor of FOX 9 News at 6:30 p.m. and FOX 9+ News at 7 p.m alongside Tim Blotz. She joined the FOX 9 team in December 2017, after previously working for Al Jazeera America.

South Minneapolis is where Bisi was born and brought up. She attended South High School in Minneapolis where she graduated proudly and later joined the University of Minnesota where she studied journalism. Prior to joining FOX 9 in December 2017, Bisi served as a correspondent for a national news network’s Detroit, Michigan bureau. In addition, she has also worked at the CBS affiliate in Duluth, Minnesota where she started her on-air career, the ABC affiliate in Flint, Michigan, the NBC affiliate in Detroit, WJRT-TV, and at WDIV-TV.

In addition, she has covered several national breaking news stories such as; General Motors’ ignition switch recall, Flint’s water crisis, Detroit’s historic bankruptcy, and the murder trial of former Minneapolis Police Officer Mohammad Noor, Over the years, she has received a Michigan Associated Press Award and two Michigan Emmy Awards. She is also a member of the National Association of Black Journalists, and during her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
