Bill Anderson Biography
Bill Anderson is an American producer and anchor working for F0X 29 as an executive producer and anchor of special projects. He joined the FOX 29 news team in February 2015.
While serving in his current role as an executive producer and anchor, Bill is in charge of managing the station’s special reports inclusive of the “Our Race Reality” series of specials. He is also a reporter on the regular news series “For Goodness’ Sake.” He has been a long time contributor of the stations “Good Day Philadelphia” newscast even before he joined the team as its co-anchor on the weekend edition. Prior to joining FOX 29, Anderson worked at Chasing News where he served as a reporter for three years. He has also worked on FOX 29 and WWOR in Secaucus, New Jersey, as an innovative public affairs program broadcast.
In addition, before Bill joined Chasing News, he served as the host of Wake Up with Bill show, for ten years. The show is an award-winning talk show airing on Philadelphia’s 900 AM WURD. For Bill’s work in the community, he was named as Philadelphia’s Most Influential African Americans by the Philadelphia Tribune Newspaper and the Philadelphia Weekly also named him as the Best Radio Talker. Furthermore, Anderson was a panelist in Emmy-nominated FOX 29 series known as Black on Black.
Bill was featured in JAY-Z’s documentary of the nationally-recognized concert “Made in America.” Over the years, Anderson has interviewed many people inclusive of Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and Presidents Clinton. Philadelphia is Bill’s native home and he attended George Washington University in Washington D.C where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in marketing and business administration.
