Benjamin Hall is an American anchor and reporter working for Fox News as a State Department correspondent. He joined the Fox News team in July 2015.
Hall attended Ampleforth College, City of London School, and Duke University, and earned a Bachelor’s degree from Richmond University, London. Hall started as a journalist covering the Middle East. For The New York Times, The Times of London, The Sunday Times, The Independent, The BBC, and other publications, he has been reporting from the front lines since 2007 and he is among the first reporters on the scene. Hall has been to Syria and Iraq on multiple occasions, reporting dispatches for Agence France Presse, BBC Radio, and the aforementioned publications – often from behind enemy lines and embedded with rebel and regime troops.
During the height of the siege, Hall went into Misrata, Libya, where he reported on Muammar Qaddafi’s indiscriminate shelling of the local populace for Esquire Magazine, Channel 4 News, and other publications. He wrote for The Times while embedded with UN forces in 2014 during the parliament’s siege in Mogadishu. Hall has provided updates from Iran, Haiti, and Egypt. He served on the London Kurdish Film Festival jury. In November 2022, Hall received the Courage Award at the 4th Annual Patriot Awards and in December 2022, he received the Foreign Press Award.

Hall suffered injuries to his legs while Irish citizen and Fox war zone picture journalist, Pierre Zakrzewski, 55, and 24-year-old Oleksandra “Sasha” Kuvshinova, a journalist from Ukraine died. After three weeks, Hall reported on Twitter that he had lost half of one leg and his foot on the other leg.
