From 1999 to 2002, Domenech studied at the College of William & Mary. He left before completing his senior year and started working for the US Department of Health and Human Services. As a contributor, Domenech provides political commentary across all FOX News Media platforms and hosts a weekly podcast for FOX News Audio. He also serves as editor of the daily political insider newsletter The Transom. In 2013 He cofounded The Federalist, a conservative online magazine. Domenech has held positions as a senior fellow at The Heartland Institute and a fellow at The Manhattan Institute. He was the principal editor of The City, a religious and cultural studies academic journal produced by Houston Baptist University. During the 2012 and 2016 election seasons, he also made appearances on a number of networks, most notably Face the Nation on CBS News.
Domenech was a speechwriter for Republican Senator John Cornyn of Texas and Tommy Thompson, the former secretary of health and human services, during the George W. Bush administration. In addition, Domenech worked as an editor for Eagle Publishing, contributing to several New York Times best-sellers. Along with delving into politics, economics, and policy, he co-hosted the daily podcast Coffee & Markets, which won an award. He was also a founding board member of the conservative website RedState.
