Audrey Puente is an American reporter and meteorologist working for FOX 5 as a meteorologist/ featured reporter. She joined the FOX 5 news team in August 2012, after previously working for WWOR TV.
Over the years, Puente has earned three Emmy awards. She previously worked at WWOR-TV/My9 where she served as the chief weather and chor and she provided forecasts for the station’s “My9 News at Ten.” Prior to working at My9, she worked for WCBS-TV where she served as a meteorologist for “CBS 2 News This Morning” and “CBS 2 News at Noon.” In addition, Audrey also worked at CBS’s national morning program “The Early Show” where she served as a fill-in reporter.
Furthermore, Audrey has also worked at WNBC-TV where she served as meteorologist and weekend reporter for “Today in New York.” Before that, she worked in Jackson, Mississippi at WAPT-TV where she served as the weekend evening meteorologist at 5 pm and 10 pm. In addition, she has also worked for WXVT-TV in Greenville, Mississippi as the weekend weather anchor and at WJCL-TV in Savannah, Georgia as the weekday weather anchor.
She started her career at WNYW-TV in New York where she served as a production assistant. Audrey is also a member of; the American Meteorological Society, the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, and the National Weather Association. In addition, she attended Syracuse University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Speech Communications in 1993. Later on, she also studied at Mississippi State University where she graduated with a Master’s in Geosciences with an emphasis on meteorology
