Ashley Baylor Biography
Ashley Baylor is an American meteorologist who is currently working at WTNH since January 2019 and serves as a weekday meteorologist.
Massachusetts is her native home and before she came to Connecticut, she worked at WWLP in Springfield, Massachusetts, and WAVY in Hampton Roads, Virginia. A number of her most memorable storms are the Halloween Nor’easter in 2011, Hurricane Sandy, and Hurricane Matthew. In addition, she spent a number of months in New York City where she served as a weather producer, and at WEAU in Eau Claire, WI.
The Valley Advocate voted her as the best meteorologist in 2013 and 2014. The Republican/Masslive.com also voted her as the Favorite Meteorologist in the Reader Raves poll. Baylor won an honorable mention in 2008, for her photo of lenticular clouds that was published in the September issue of WeatherWise Magazine.
From when she was 9 years old, she has always been interested in weather and relocated to Charleston, South Carolina a year after Hurricane Hugo struck. While she resided in Charleston, Hurricane back in 1992, Hurricane Andrew slammed into southern Florida and during that time, she was glued to the tv watching each moment of the coverage.
Furthermore, she is a member of the National Weather Association and attended the State University of New York at Albany where she graduated with a degree in Broadcast Meteorology. During her leisure time, she enjoys being on the beach or checking out a local zoo.
