Arthel Neville is an American anchor and reporter working for FOX News as an evening anchor and reporter. She joined the FOX News team in 1998, after previously working for KVUE-TV.

Neville received a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from The University of Texas at Austin. At Fox News ChannelFox (FNC), she co-anchors FOX News Live, which airs on Saturdays at 3, 4, and 5 p.m. and Sundays at Noon, 3 and 4 p.m. When first joined FNC as a contributor from 1998 until 2001. From there, Neville assisted in the opening of a newly acquired Fox affiliate in San Diego. The only shows the channel had been airing were from Mexico and Los Angeles. Under Neville’s direction, the morning show rocketed to the top, surpassing popular shows. She then later rejoined the network in 2010 as a New York-based anchor.
Neville began off as a reporter in reputable local newsrooms. After seven years, she achieved national recognition and built an unparalleled career. She rose to prominence as the first prominent African American woman to cover entertainment in the country. On E! Entertainment Television, Neville produced and hosted a show featuring one-on-one interviews with celebrities. Neville then introduced the entertainment news program EXTRA.
Some notable achievements in her career are her appearance on CNN’s Talkback Live with Arthel Neville and her selection as the third African American woman to be honored as a Distinguished Alumna at the University of Texas at Austin. Neville received the 2017 DeWitt Carter Reddick journalism prize from Moody College of Communication, becoming the first African American woman to receive this accolade. Dan Rather, Walter Cronkite, Bill Moyers, and Ted Turner are among the previous recipients. Neville is honored to have had legendary writer Ed Bradley as a mentor throughout his career. She started her career, while still a junior in college. Neville worked as a full-time reporter at KVUE-TV (ABC) and as a full-time student of journalism at UT Austin.
