Anthony Ponce is an American anchor and reporter working for FOX 32 as a weekend anchor and weekday reporter. He joined the FOX 32 team in 2018.
Ponce was brought up in the northern suburbs and he attended Indiana University for his undergraduate and earned a Master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Anthony gained national attention in July 2016, when he resigned from his job in TV news to become a full-time Lyft driver, and launched his podcast Backseat Rider.
In 2018, Anthony joined the FOX 32 team as a co-anchor of Good Day Chicago and he launched Backseat Rider as a news segment. Prior to joining FOX 32, Ponce worked as a reporter and anchor at NBC in Chicago and also worked in Indiana as a reporter.
