Angelo Bavaro Biography
Angelo Bavaro is an American reporter and anchor working for FOX 61 as a weekend morning anchor and reporter. He joined the FOX 6 Connecticut team in March 2020, after previously working at WBOC-TV.
Fort Lee, New Jersey is Bavaro’s native home and in 2009, he joined Fort Lee High School where he graduated in 2013. Later on, he joined the University of Maryland where he graduated in 2017, with a Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalsim. While Angelo worked at WBOC-TV, in Salisbury, Maryland, he served as a reporter and weekend anchor covering the Delmarva Peninsula. In addition, while serving as a morning reporter at WBOC, he was able to travel everywhere from the marshes of Chincoteague Island to where he covered the world-famous pony swim to statehouses where he covered the impacts of legislation on local communities.
Prior to Angelo joining WBOC, he interned at the TODAY Show, NBC News’ digital video unit, Meet the Press with Chuck Todd, the TODAY Show, and Late Night with Seth Meyers. For Bavaro’s reporting, he earned honors from; the D.C. Society of Professional Journalists Dateline Awards, the Hearst Journalism Awards Program, the National Chesapeake Bay Emmy chapter, and the Gracie Awards.
