Andrew Luria is an American 10-time Emmy award-winning anchor working for FOX 5 as a weekday evening anchor at 1, 4, 5, and 7 p.m. He joined the FOX 5 news team in November 2013.
Prior to joining FOX 5, Luria worked at KCOY/KKFX in Santa Maria, WFTS in Tampa, KIEM in Eureka, KOVR/KMAX in Sacramento, WVBR in Ithaca, New York, KEYT in Santa Barbara, and WBIG in Washington D.C. In addition, Andrew’s career has been influenced by people such as; Steve Buckhantz, Glenn Brenner, George Michael, Steve Hartman, Fred Roggin, and writers such as Rick Reilly.
He attended Cornell University where he played baseball and football. He also played semi-pro baseball for the Santa Barbara Foresters as well. Aside from work, Andrew loves coaching his children; basketball, baseball, and football. In addition, he is the teacher of an award-winning elementary school broadcasting class in Carlsbad. Not long ago, he published his first book: a historical fiction time-traveling sports story for kids, called The Adventures of Charlie Marley. Furthermore, during his done time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their children.
