Amy Lu is an American correspondent and reporter working at 40/29 where she serves as the weekday and weekend reporter. She joined 40/29 News the Washington Hearst Bureau in April 2022, after previously working at WBAL-TV in Baltimore, Maryland where she served as a reporter.
Boulder is her native home and she considers the Mid-Atlantic her second home, whenever she finds time, she visits her family who resides in Northern Virginia. In 2012, Lu joined New York University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and political science in 2016. Later on, she joined Columbia University in the City of New York where she earned a Master of Science in journalism.
Amy is not a stranger to the District as she spent a number of summers with her dad as they explored the Georgetown waterside and museums.
