Amy Lange is an American Emmy award-winning anchor and reporter working for FOX 2 as an anchor at 11 am. She joined FOX 2 in August 1998, after previously working for NBC 25.

Lange attended the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida where she graduated cum laude with majors in Broadcast Journalism and Spanish in 1994. She also studied at Marygrove College in Detroit where she graduated in 2008, with a Master’s degree in Social Justice.

She has been to Capitol Hill for testimony on the Flint Water Crisis, to Philadelphia for the Democratic National Convention, and to the Supreme Court for the same-sex marriage case after spending a number of years covering a Michigan couple’s fight for the right to marry. In addition, she has also traveled many times to an orphanage in Haiti after an earthquake hit the area and she told the impact of the natural disaster on the children.

In addition, she has won numerous Emmy awards such as investigative reporter and best anchor. For her reporting in Haiti and her work on children in the state foster care system, an Emmy was awarded to her. An Edward R Murrow Regional Award was presented to Amy for her work on homeless veterans. Furthermore, Amy has also received awards from; the Michigan Association of Broadcasters, the Society of Professional Journalists, and the Associated Press.

From the year 1996 until 1998, Lange worked at WEYI-TV in Flint, Michigan while serving as an anchor/ reporter. Prior to working at WEYI-TV, Amy worked at WTVJ in Miami, Florida, as a news promotions producer and an associate news producer.
