Amy Andrews is an American anchor working for FOX 2 where she serves as the morning news co-anchor. She joined FOX 2 Detroit in August 2011, after previously working for WNEM TV5.

Andrews went to Specs Howard School of Media Arts where she studied Radio and Television in 2000, she also joined Oakland University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. While at school, she worked at WSYM as a weekend sports anchor. Amy also interned with the Detroit Lions.

After graduating Amy relocated to Montrose, Colorado where she worked as anchor/reporter for KREY/KREX on the Western Slope where she switched from sports to news. Later on she relocated to Laughlin,  Nevada where worked at KLBC TV2 for 2 and a half years before later moving to San Luis Obispo,  California where Andrews worked as an anchor/reporter for KSBY 6. A number of years later she felt the urge to go back home.

Amy secured a job at WNEM TV5 in the Flint/Saginaw market, where she served as a weekend anchor then quickly moved up the ranks to a noon/morning anchor and a co-host for the lifestyle show “Better Mid-Michigan.” Andrews later joined FOX 2 in September 2011.

Whenever she finds time she enjoys being active in the community, Amy is fully involved with Gleaners Community Food Bank and is an ambassador for C.A.T.C.H Children’s Charity. In addition, she promoted FOX 2’s media partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She is actively involved with the Crohn’s Colitis Foundation of America, Habitat for Humanity, the American Heart Association and Angels of Hope.
