Ameera David Biography

Ameera David is an American Emmy award-winning anchor and reporter who is currently working at WXYZ. She serves as a weekend evening anchor and reporter who leads The Rebound Detroit newscast show. 

She started working at NBC News’ Washington D.C. bureau. While she was at the station, she served as a; assignment desk manager, production assistant for the likes of Brian Williams and Chuck Todd, and  White House producer.

Detroit is her native home and she attended Detroit Public Schools. She later joined the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor where she graduated proudly. Additionally, she has also attended Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism in New York City where she graduated with a Master’s degree.

During her leisure time, she enjoys connecting with viewers on social media, traveling, salsa dancing, and coping with new eateries in Metro Detroit. The New York Festivals World’s Best TV & Films awarded her in the ‘Best Anchor’ category in 2016.
