Alyssa Taglia is an American news anchor and traffic anchor who is currently working at WTNH. She serves as the 9 am co-anchor of Good Morning Connecticut and the traffic anchor from 4 am to 8 am.
She attended Cheshire High school where she graduated in 2011. Later on, she joined Point Park University where she graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree. In 2017, she joined New York Film Academy where she studied broadcast journalism. In 2016, she was a Miss Connecticut and represented her home state in the 2017 Miss America Pageant live on ABC. In early 2020, she established a weekly segment highlighting the good work of everyday warriors from Connecticut communities. called Wednesday’s Warrior.
After her year of service, she attended the New York Film Academy’s Broadcast Journalism certificate program on a full scholarship. In addition, she loves giving back and volunteering for many charitable organizations. Alyssa founded Smiles for Seniors which is a volunteer-driven program created to enrich the lives of our elderly.

Taglia was also a goodwill ambassador for Connecticut Children’s in 2016. During her leisure time, she enjoys spending ample time with her family, friends, and Frenchton, Remmy.
