Alison Starling-Alexander is an American former news anchor. She is best known for her time at WJLA-TV, where she did her last on-air newscast. Meanwhile, Starling is a podcast host and co-creator of “Living Well with Alison Starling.”

Starling attended the University of Florida, where she graduated in 1995. Later on, she joined Rotary International via the Cultural Ambassadorial Scholarship in 1995. While at Rotary International, she studied for six months in Tours, France. After having graduated, Alison started her journalism career in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she worked at WDEF-TV. While working at WDEF-TV, Alison served as an anchor and reporter.
In addition, she also worked at KIRO-TV in Seattle, Washington, and while she was at the station, she covered the Seattle earthquake. After having worked for three years at KIRO-TV, Starling subsequently joined the WJLA-TV news team in August 2003. After having worked at the station for a year, she was promoted to the co-anchor of Good Morning Washington, which aired from 5 am to 7 am. Furthermore, she also served as a semi-regular anchor of ABC7 News at Noon.
Alison was named as one of the area’s rising stars in local television news by the Washingtonian in 2005. Starling made the announcement of her departure from the station on November 3, 2023. She stated that she would be stepping down so that she can get to spend more time with her family. Following that statement, November 22, 2023, was her final newscast at the WJLA-TV station.
