Alicia Lewis is an American Emmy- Award Winning anchor and reporter working for KARE 11 as a morning news anchor and traffic reporter. She joined the KARE 11 news team in December 2014, after previously working for WICS ABC Newschannel 20.
Lewis became a part of KARE 11 in December 2014 and presently appears on KARE 11 Sunrise. Prior to her time in the Twin Cities, she served as the morning reporter and fill-in anchor at WICS ABC NewsChannel 20 in Springfield, Illinois. Additionally, she holds a degree from St. Cloud State University, where she took on various roles as a reporter, anchor, and managing editor for the university’s acclaimed news station. She was also awarded a Degree in Bachelor of Applied Sciences in Mass Communication and Media.
She initiated her journalism career at UTV News, where she served as a reporter, Lead Anchor, and Managing Editor. Showcasing a commitment to highlighting local events and capturing the stories of community members, she demonstrated her skills by writing and producing three live newscasts daily. In 2017, she launched the #eyesUP campaign, dedicated to combating distracted driving and promoting road safety. This initiative earned her an Emmy award for its impactful contribution.
