Alexa Ross Biography

Alexa Ross is an American sports anchor and reporter working for CBS4 as a weekend sports anchor and reporter. She joined CBS4 in September 2021, after previously working for WROC-TV.

Philadelphia is Rose’s native home and while growing up, she enjoyed watching sports (college basketball and the NFL are her first loves). Alexa later joined Temple University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism in 2018. Later on, she served as an anchor and reporter for  Temple’s Emmy-award-winning sports show. In addition, Rose interned at NBC Sports Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Inquirer and later worked for NBC Sports in PyeongChang as a production assistant during the 2018 Winter Olympics.

Ross worked for WROC-TV in Rochester, New York for a period of two years. While working for WROC-TV, she covered; the Buffalo Bills, the Triple-A Rochester Red Wings, Buffalo Sabres, AHL Rochester Americans, and more. Alexa has resided in Upstate New York for three years thus, she is not afraid of snow. Furthermore, during her spare time, she enjoys working out, exploring downtown, playing with her cats, finding new restaurants and bars, and watching Philadelphia sports.
