Alex Lehnert is an American meteorologist and reporter working for FOX 9 as a news reporter and weather forecaster. She joined the FOX 9 team in July 2018, after previously working for Sinclair Broadcast Group.

Colorado is Lehnert’s native home and in her childhood days, she always desired to be a meteorologist. She attended the University of Colorado where she graduated in 2013, with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism. After graduating, Alex began her career in Casper, Wyoming at KTWO TV where she served as an editor, producer, weather forecaster, reporter, and anchor.

Later on, she relocated to Fresno, California where she worked for a period of 2 years as a news reporter ad weather forecaster. Over the years, Alex has won a number of awards for her stories and while she worked in Fresno, she was named the Employee of the Year. In addition, during her downtime, she enjoys paddle boarding, painting, cross-country skiing, experimenting in the kitchen, hiking, and camping. During the winter season, Lehnert volunteers with the Courage Kenny Ski program at Hyland.
