Alex Carter is an American meteorologist working for FOX54 as a morning meteorologist alongside co-anchors Vincent Hill and Danielle Ledbetter. He joined the FOX54 news team in October 2022, after previously working for WCJB-TV20.
In Augusta, Georgia, WFXG Fox 54 News welcomes Carter as the new morning meteorologist. Collaborating with co-anchors Vincent Hill and Danielle Ledbetter. He will be an integral part of the CSRA’s exclusive 5-hour newscast, airing from 5 AM to 10 AM. Originally from North Alabama, he pursued his education at the University of South Alabama, earning a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Meteorology. Commencing his meteorology career in May 2021, he kick-started at WCJB in Gainesville, Florida.
During his tenure in Gainesville, he provided coverage on a diverse range of weather events, from tornadoes and hurricanes to frost/freeze occurrences. Excited about his new role in the CSRA, he expresses enthusiasm for the region’s fervor for sports, especially golf, its delectable soul food, and the warm and down-to-earth nature of its people.
