Aimee Cho is an American reporter working for NBC 4 where she serves as a general assignment reporter and multimedia journalist. She joined the NBC 4 team in October 2016, after previously working for Ithaca College Television where she was an anchor and reporter.
Great Falls, Virginia is where Cho was brought up and she desired to become a journalist from a young age. Aimee attended Langley High School where she graduated proudly and in 2013, she joined Cornell University where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in English. While she was at the University, she wrote for the Cornell Daily Sun and for Ithaca College’s student-run TV station. In addition, after Aimee was inducted into the prestigious Emma Bowen Foundation Internship Program, she spent three summers at NBC4 while working in a number of departments such as the newsroom. At the end of her participation in 2016, NBC4 hired her as a multimedia journalist.
Furthermore, while working at NBC4, Cho received three awards for her work as a multimedia journalist, shooting, writing, and editing stories. One of the awards she received is an Emmy award from a multimedia journalist, for shooting, writing, and editing stories. While two of the awards are from the Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters, and she also earned an Emmy for a profile of a beloved Bethesda football coach with Down syndrome. In addition, she is heavily involved in the Asian American Journalists Association.
