Adam Joseph Biography
Adam Joseph is an American meteorologist working for the weekday meteorologist at 4 p.m., 5:30 p.m., and 10 p.m on PHL-17. She joined the 6ABC news team in April 2005.
Joseph attended Lyndon State College where he earned a Bachelor of Science in 2000. Adam got his first on-air experience in 1998, at LSC-TV as a weather forecaster and anchor. He began his career at WBOY-TV in Clarksburg, West Virginia where he served as the Chief Meteorologist. Not long after, he worked at WSAZ-TV in Charleston-Huntington, West Virginia and while he was there, he received the AMS Seal of Approval for Television. In addition, he also received a number of awards for meteorology excellence.
After having worked at WSAZ-TV for four years, he joined WPVI in April 2005, as the weekend meteorologist. Joseph is an active contributor to 6ABC’s many specials such as; The Flower Show preview special, Thanksgiving Day Parade, and the Auto Show preview special. In 2009, the Philadelphia Magazine voted Joseph Philadelphia’s Best Meteorologist, and he was a fill-in anchor on ABC’s Good Morning America. In addition, for Adam’s professional excellence and community involvement, he was honored with the 40 under 40 award in 2011.
Furthermore, Joseph is heavily devoted to making a difference in the community and he is actively involved in the Hospice and the American Cancer Society. In 2001, Adam took part in his first triathlon in Richwood, West Virginia, and ever since he has completed 13 triathlons. Joseph completed the final being a 70.3 half ironman in Bear Delaware and 7 triathlons in 2013. In addition, during his leisure time, he enjoys biking, running, spending time with family, lifting weights, swimming, and making every day count.
