Adaleigh Rowe is an American multiple Emmy award-winning meteorologist working for FOX 7 Austin as a weekdays and weekend mornings meteorologist. She joined the FOX 7 news team in November 2021, after previously working for DTV Newsbreak.
Adaleigh Rowe Career
Rowe began her career in the media industry in 2011, when she worked behind the scenes in production. During that time, she developed many skills such as; computer graphics, JIB operator, camera, and floor director while working for DFW CBS11 and TXA21. Later in 2016, Adaleigh took an on-camera role while in college, she worked for NTTV on the noon newscast as a weather anchor, Let’s Talk North Texas weather anchor, and the City of Denton’s TV Station DTV.
In addition, Adaleigh later relocated to Alexandria, Louisiana in 2018, where she joined KALB’s local NBC station where she served as a morning and noon meteorologist. Rowe invented the original idea of sharing daily local pet pictures for the “Dog on Weather.” Adaleigh attended the University of North Texas where she earned a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences with a Minor in Broadcast Journalism in 2018. Furthermore, she is a member of many honor societies inclusive of Phi Theta Kappa.
She also studied at Mississippi State University where she earned a Geoscience Broadcast Operational Meteorology Certificate in 2021. Over the years, Rowe has earned many awards such as; a Lone Star Emmy’s Best College Talent Nominee & Harold Taft Scholarship winner in 2017, a 2018, Associated Press Second Place Best Weather Anchor & Best Morning Show winner, and a 2019 Associated Press Second Place Best Weather Team Coverage. “Alexandria’s December Tornado.”
Furthermore, Rowe received the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters Prestige Awards for Best Weathercast Small Market & Best Morning Show in 2020, and the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters Prestige Awards for Best Weather Team Coverage. “Hurricane Laura” in 2021. During her spare tie, she enjoys spending ample time with her family and exploring the outdoors with her adopted dog Alexandria Pupcake.
