Abby Acone Biography

Abby Acone is an American meteorologist working at FOX 13 Seattle as a weekend meteorologist from 8 am to 11 am and on Mondays to Wednesdays from 4:30 am to 10 pm.  

Bellevue is where she was brought up and for three years, she worked for Seattle’s ABC affiliates as a reporter and meteorologist. She enjoys focusing on environmental and climate stories inclusive pieces about our beloved Southern Resident killer whales, salmon, and local climate change issues. In addition, Acone has been privileged to cover huge weather events such as Seattle’s “snowpocalypse” that happen in February 2019. Furthermore, she took pride in contributing to crucial COVID-19 stories throughout the pandemic.

Prior to joining the Q13 team, she worked in Colorado Springs where she served as a morning meteorologist for almost 5 years. She completed meteorology school online through Mississippi State University in 2018, and while she was in Colorado, she also did newscasts and forecasts for the local Telemundo station. In addition, Acone began her career in Tri-Cities, Washington where she served as a weather anchor and reporter. During her free time, she loves weekend trips to places such as Leavenworth, Chelan, and Winthrop, and spending ample time with friends and family.
