Aaron Perlman Biography
Aaron Perlman is an American anchor and meteorologist working for KBFX as a morning He joined the KBFX news team in June 2004, after previously working for KSWT.
In 2003, Perlman completed his undergraduate studies at Arizona State University, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Communications and Meteorology. Following his role as the chief forecaster in Yuma, AZ with KSWT, he relocated to Bakersfield. Over the past seven years, he has transitioned from the morning forecaster to the main anchor for Eyewitness News. Consistently recognized, he has been voted “Best Of” Television Personality for the last five years. Despite his busy professional life, he is also deeply involved in his community. Currently serving as the worship leader for Christ’s Church of the Valley for the past four years, his greatest passion lies in leading worship. Notably, he has dedicated nearly a decade to being Bakersfield’s morning forecaster and was honored as ‘Best of Kern Celebrity 2013,’ receiving various local awards for his forecasting and news coverage.
While he gained national attention for his audition on the FOX reality show So You Think You Can Dance, his dance, “The Weatherman Boogie,” and he himself, unfortunately, did not progress beyond the first round. Beyond his on-air commitments, he actively engages with the community through his Weather Roadshow program, teaching weather to students of all ages in schools. On weekday afternoons, he co-hosts the show “Afternoon Joy Ride” on 88.3 Life FM. This ensures that your Eyewitness News weather forecast remains up-to-date throughout the entire day. In his personal time, he enjoys various activities, including hiking the John Muir Trail in the Sierra Nevada every late summer into the fall, leading music at his church, and participating in 5K or 10K runs. Accompanied by his wife, he often explores the Sierra Nevada, covering a distance from Mt. Whitney to Yosemite (221 miles).
