Megan Healy is an American Emmy award-winning weather anchor and reporter working for FOX 5 as a weather anchor at 1, 4, and 5 pm. She joined the FOX 5 news team in August 2021, as a reporter.
The Bay Area is Healy’s native home and she attended Woodside High School where she graduated with a high school diploma in 2014. Later on, she joined Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where she earned a Bachelor of Science in broadcast journalism and a minor in Spanish in 2018. After graduating, Megan joined KSBY, an NBC affiliate on the Central Coast where she served as a multimedia journalist and weekend anchor for three years. In addition, she is proud of her coverage of the 1996 disappearance of Kristin Smart.
Furthermore, Healy reported in 2021, on a 25-year-old case inclusive of covering the search warrants, arrests, preliminary hearings, and an exclusive backyard interview with the suspect’s mother. For her coverage, she was featured on Dateline NBC. Megan has also covered many; storms, crime, wildfires, and elections, and she won a number of awards such as a regional Emmy. Her mother loves storytelling as together they produced cooking videos to assist families in easing kid-friendly, and healthy recipes while at home.
Whenever she finds time, she enjoys showcasing behind the scenes of TV news on her social media. During her downtime, she enjoys traveling, beach bike rides, Jay Shetty podcasts, grocery hauls, and spending as much time as she can with her family and their dog, Cooper.
