Marshall Keely Biography
Marshall Keely is an American anchor and reporter working for FOX 43 as a Friday and Saturday night 10 pm anchor, and a weekday reporter. He joined the FOX 43 team in February 2021, as a multimedia journalist.
Maryland is Marshall’s native home and he was brought up on a farm just outside of Hagerstown, Maryland. He attended Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania where he graduated with a degree in journalism. In addition, an Emmy was awarded to Marshall for his story that highlighted a youth summer camp for siblings of cancer patients and survivors. Furthermore, he has also been a student news director for the Shippensburg University Television station. Keely interned at WHP in Harrisburg and later served as a production assistant at the station.
Prior to joining FOX 43, Keely worked at WNEP, in Scranton for a year and a half. While he was at the station, he served as a reporter and fill-in anchor covering; politics, crime, breaking news, and human interest stories. In addition, he was on-scene as investigators searched for three lab monkeys who had escaped after the truck carrying them crashed in Central Pennsylvania. Marshall also covered the 80-car pileup on Interstate 81 in Schuylkill County for three days and he reported on a suspected serial killer who was connected to killings in Pennsylvania and Michigan.
Keely secured his first on-air job at WJAC-TV in Johnstown, PA where he served as a reporter covering the Altoona region. He also worked in Johnstown as a weekend news anchor for one year. In addition, while Marshall was in Altoona, he followed the recounts during the 2020 elections and shared the stories of the disabled who were given by a Pennsylvania non-profit adaptive bicycles and strollers. During his leisure time, he enjoys hiking the beautiful Pennsylvania Mountains.
