Drew Tuma Biography
Drew Tuma is an American meteorologist working for KGO-TV as a weekend meteorologist at 5, 6, 9, and 11 p.m. He joined the ABC 7 weather team in July 2014, after previously working for FOX 5 DC.
While in high school, Tuma was a member of the school’s weather club. He then joined Penn State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. His first on-air experience was while in college, at PCN-TV, which is a local cable channel. In addition, he began his career at WHSV TV3 Winchester in Shenandoah Valley of Virginia where he served as the chief meteorologist.
While Dre was at WHSV, he received the AMS Certified Broadcast Meteorology seal. Not long after, he relocated to Washington, D.C. where he secured a job at WTTG-TV. As he worked in the Mid- Atlanta, he has covered all different types of weather including; the devastating Tornado Outbreak in 2011, Hurricane Sandy coming ashore, the crippling East Coast blizzards, and the June 2012 Derecho. During her spare time, she enjoys running, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family.
