Kaitlan Collins is an American anchor and correspondent working for CNN as a morning co-anchor of CNN This Morning which airs on weekday mornings from 6 am to 9 pm alongside Don Lemon and Poppy Harlow. She joined CNN in 2017.

Prattville, Alabama is her native home and she attended Prattville High School where she graduated proudly and later joined the University of Alabama where she initially chose to major in chemistry like her sister before later majoring in journalism. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and journalism in May of 2014 and is a member of the Alpha Phi sorority.

Collins also serves as the chief correspondent of the CNN This Morning show, and previously, she was CNN’s Chief White House Correspondent based in Washington, D.C. Ever since Collins joined CNN in 2017, she has broken a number of stories in her coverage of both the Trump and Biden administrations inclusive of major staff departures and consequential policy decisions. In addition, she has covered President Biden and President Trump abroad and pushed both on the world stage for the last four years.
