Darren Peck Biography
Darren Peck is an American two-time Emmy award-winning meteorologist who is currently working at KPIX-TV.
Previously, he worked at KING 5 in Seattle where he also forecasted weather. Prior to that, he worked at FOX40 News where he worked for a period of seven years as a weekday meteorologist. Additionally, he has worked for over two decades as a meteorologist, and over the years he has worked in stations such as; KNAZ-TV in Flagstaff, Arizona (where his career began), Orange County NewsChannel, and KVVU FOX 5 in Las Vegas.
In addition to being honored with two Emmy awards for on-air performance, Darren is a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) by the American Meteorologist Society (AMS). Among television meteorologists, the CBM designation is sought as a mark of professional distinction and recognition. He was brought up in Northern California and attended California State University, Northridge where he graduated proudly with a degree in Physical Geography with a focus on Climatology and Geomorphology.
