Mark McClune Biography
Mark McClune is an American five-time Emmy-winning sports anchor and reporter working for 3TV as the sports director and night anchor of The Extra Point. He joined the 3TV team in September 2012, after previously working for Fox Sports Arizona.
Over the years, McClune has served as a sideline reporter for the; ASU, D’backs, Cardinals, Coyotes, the Suns, Rattler’s telecasts, Mercury, and U of A. Over a period of 4 years, Mark earned 5 Emmy awards for his outstanding work in sports broadcasting. In addition, while working at Arizona’s Family, he can be seen on the anchor desk Monday through Wednesday and Saturday, while on Sundays, he’s out reporting in the field.
Since 2006, Mark has been working in Arizona and he worked at Fox Sports Arizona as a host and reporter. He has called play-by-play for everything from local track meets to Pac-12 sporting events. McClune attended The University of Texas at Austin and he began his career covering the Longhorns for News 8 in Austin. Furthermore, he worked at KTVL in Medford, Orlando as a sports director and at KREM in Spokane, Washington where he worked for three years. During his leisure time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons.
