Ben Goldman Biography
Ben Goldman is an American anchor working for FOX 61 as a weekday evening anchor at 4 pm and 10 pm a position he took up in September 2018. He joined the FOX 61 team in June 2017, as a weekend morning anchor and reporter.
Just at the age of 16, he began his journalism career at FOX61 as a freelance reporter. He reports twice a week on Connecticut Charities while also serving as the host of Ben Goldman’s Charity Corner. He has strong ties to non-profits all throughout the state as he is a survivor of brain cancer. After he left FOX61, he joined Western Mass News in Springfield, Mass where he served as a weekend reporter. In addition, Goldman also interned at a number of stations such as NBC Nightly News with Lester Hol and PIX11 in New York City.
Furthermore, Goldman was involved in the special 2016 Election Night coverage while he was at Nightly News. He has covered a wide range of stories while working at FOX61 inclusive of stories with tenants in Hartford’s North End fighting against their landlord due to poor living conditions in the Clay Arsenal Apartments. Wethersfield, Connecticut is his native home, and he graduated from Wethersfield High School and The University of Connecticut where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Political Science. During his spare time, he enjoys golf and being a jazz pianist.
