Phil Reed is an American Emmy award-winning anchor and reporter working at 40/29 in Rogers, Arkansas where he serves as a weekday evening anchor at 5:00 p.m and reporter. He joined 40/29 News in August 2022, after previously working at KCRG-TV9.
Prior to joining 40/29 and The Arkansas CW, he worked at KCRG-TV9, the ABC affiliate in Cedar Rapids, Iowa where he served as a news anchor, reporter, and producer. Before he joined KCRG-TV9 in August 2019, he worked at KCRG-TV9 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa where he served as a reporter since August 2016. In addition, he has also worked at WTVO-TV/ Channel 17 where he was a multi-media journalist for 4 years and 4 months.
Chicago is his native home and in 2006, Reed joined Northern Illinois University where he graduated in 2010, with a Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism. While he was in college, he worked at the Northern Television Center where he served as a reporter and producer in addition to shooting interviews and covering sports for “Top Shelf Sports.” Furthermore, during his leisure time, he enjoys cheering on Chicago sports teams, playing basketball, and bike riding.
