Aaron Perlman is an American anchor and weather forecaster working at KBAK and KBFX. He co-anchors Eyewitness News alongside Cornelia Nicholson on weekday mornings.
Aaron Perlman Career
Perlman joined the KBAK / KBFX team in 2004 and stated that his desire was to live for 5 years in Bakersfield and to later relocate to his native home in Phoenix, Arizona. Aaron attended Arizona State University, where he studied in its Walter Cronkite School of Broadcasting. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism in 2003 from the university.
After having graduated, Aaron began his career in Yuma, Arizona, where he worked at KSWT. During his time at KSWT, he served as the evening weather forecaster. In addition, Aaron later relocated to Bakersfield and joined the two-hour morning newscast team, which currently runs for five and a half hours. When Perlman joined the station, he served as the morning weather forecaster, but he was later promoted to main anchor and weather forecaster, which is still his current role.
Furthermore, Aaron has made many funny comments on Eyewitness News Mornings. For these comments, he has appeared on popular YouTube highlights and comedy shows, including The Tonight Show. In addition, Perlman has also appeared on So You Think You Can Dance; however, he did not get past the first round. More to that, Aaron was voted as the “Best Of” Media Personality in 2013 and from 2017 to 2023, when the category stopped.
Perlman is also on the radio at 88.3 Life FM, where he serves as the music director and weekday afternoon DJ from 2 pm to 7 pm. More to that, he is also part of the worship team as the leader of his church, Christ’s Church Of The Valley Bakersfield. During his spare time, he enjoys watching a superhero movie, playing music with his band, and working out at the gym.
