Taylor Pollock Biography
Taylor Pollock is an American breaking news reporter and multimedia journalist working for WBRC 6 News. She joined the WBRC 6 team in May 2023, after previously working at WTVY News 4.
While working at WBRC, Taylor has had a number of highlights, including following the journey of police officer Jerry Hughes-Karrh’s search for a kidney. She has also covered the kidnapping hoax of Carlee Russell. For her coverage of police officer Jerry Hughes-Karrh’s search for a kidney, she aided in connecting Hughes-Karrh with a compatible donor. Following this coverage, she was honored by the City of Vestavia Hills.
Prior to her time at WBRC 6, she worked at WTVY in Dothan, which is WBRC’s sister station. When Taylor joined WTVY, she began as a weekend anchor and multimedia journalist. Later on, Pollock was promoted to serving as an evening anchor in March 2020.
Before Pollock’s time in Dothan, she was an intern at WSFA in Montgomery, Alabama; this was before her graduation. In addition, Taylor attended The University of West Alabama, where she completed her freshman and sophomore years of undergraduate studies. While she was at the University of West Alabama, she was a member of the Lambda Sigma Honor Society.
Furthermore, Pollock later joined Troy University, where she graduated in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism. During her time at the university, she was part of the student-run television station TROY TrojanVision News. While on the station, she served as an anchor, reporter, and students’ news director.
