Ashley Bowerman Biography

Ashley Bowerman is an American news anchor and reporter who is currently working at KBTX. She serves as an evening news co-anchor on the 4 p.m, 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts and additional programming. Bowerman joined the KBTX news team in July 2026 after previously working at Gray Media’s sister station, KOLD in Tucson, Arizona.

Ashley was born and brought up in San Antonio, Texas. She attended Boerne High School where she attanined her high shcool diploma. Later on, she joined Texas State University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in the year 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Media. Prior to her graduation, she worked as an intern at WOAI/KABB for a period of 7 months. In anndion she also worked at KTSW-FM where she served as an assistant news director for 1 year and 5 months.

While Bowerman worked at KOLD in Tucson, Arizona, she served as an evening news anchor for the 5:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. newscasts. During her time at KBTX, she will not only serve as a news anchor, but also covers breaking news, report in the field, and shoots and edits her own video.

Later on, Bowerman joined the Gray Media where she worked at WSFA 12 News in Montgomery, Alabamafor over 3 years. while she was at the station, she served as a weekend eveing news anchor and reporter. Ashley was a solo anchor on the weekend for a four hour newscast and served as a fill-in anchor for the weekday news shows. While working at WSFA 12, she covered a wide range of stories including; the city’s first COVID-19 case, the development of the COVID-19 vaccine, hurricanes, tornados, and two presidential visits.

Furthermore, Bowerman has also worked for ENPS, EDIUS, and ARC. she made a number of personal appearances on behalf of the stations. Ashley left the WSFA 12 team in December 2019, and joined FOX 11 in Tucson, Arizona. While working at FOX 11, she served as the main evening news anchor and reporter for both KMSB and KOLD 13 News on CBS. She worked at the station for 3 years and in june 2026, she left the station to join KBTX. During her leisure time, she enjoys; shopping, spending time with her famly and eating lots of Mexican food.
