Lauren Casey Biography
Lauren Casey is an American meteorologist who is currently working at KYW-TV in Philadelphia since May 2022. Previously, she worked at CBS3 since September 2015, as a meteorologist and left the station in June 2022.
Pennsylvania is Lauren’s native home and he attended Rutgers University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in meteorology. Later on, she studied at Johns Hopkins University Advanced Academic Program where he earned his Master’s degree in Environmental Science and policy. Prior to joining the CBS3 team in Philadelphia, in 2011, she worked at WCCO-TV in Minneapolis where she served as a weekend meteorologist. In addition, she has also worked at WINK-TV in southwest Florida where she served as a morning meteorologist.
Casey’s broadcast career started in Macon, Georgia where she sharpened her skills in weather forecasting and covered everything from tornadoes to hail. She interned in Mount Holly, News Jersey at the National Weather Service and in Philadelphia at WCAU-TV. Furthermore, the American Meteorological Society designated her the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM). In Florida Gulf Coast University, she has taught a weather course and served as the hist of children’s workshops.
She also enjoys being outdoors and has shared the back-country trails of Glacier National Park with grizzly bears. Lauren has also trekked through parks of Grand Canyon, Zion, and Grand Teton.
