Laura Hutchinson is an American anchor who is currently working at WTNH. She serves as the morning co-anchor of Good Morning Connecticut alongside Keith Kountz. She also has a weekday at 5;00 pm segment called Stretch Your Dollar. In addition, she joined the News 8 team in November 2015.
Hamden, Connecticut is her native home. Previously, she worked in Springfield, MA at WWLP as the morning news anchor and worked on the 22News I-Team. She worked at WWLP for a period of six years. Over the years, she has received a number of honors for her work inclusive of the AP and Murrow awards. In addition, she also serves as a moderator for 22News inFocus which is the station’s award-winning public affairs program.
Furthermore, she began her career at WENY-TV News in Elmira, New York where she serves as a reporter and anchor in 2008. She also previously worked for the CW Philly Wakeup News in Philadelphia behind the scenes in the control room. In addition, she attended Temple University in Philadelphia where she graduated with degrees in broadcast journalism and political science.
