Batula is a proud graduate of Hillsborough High School. She then went to the University of Connecticut, where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Communication Design. She works as the creative and branding director at Loverboy, Inc. Before she joined Loverboy Inc., she worked at L’Occitane en Provence and FENIX. As a stylist at Rent The Runway, her duties included giving customers the chance to have a customized appointment with excellent, one-on-one help; choosing dresses and accessories according to each customer’s preferences; giving them a high-tech shopping experience with new technology tailored to our showroom; and keep them informed about all new styles and designers that enter the showroom.
As a graphics manager at The Daily Campus, her responsibilities included working with customers to create high-quality black-and-white prints, full-color prints, and online ads that will be printed correctly in InDesign and placed in newspapers every day. Additionally, she supervised the graphic designer to ensure timely completion of tasks, working with the business manager and advertising manager to optimize workflow and resolve urgent problems, and designing the 2012–13 rate card for The Daily Campus, which was sent to all clients. Furthermore, she taught aspiring graphic managers and designers all the ideas and techniques required to fulfill their professional duties.
