Morgan Wolfe is an American Emmy- Award Winning anchor and reporter working for KARE 11 as a weekend evening anchor. She joined the KARE 11 news team in July 2022, after previously working for KSL 5 TV.
Formerly a KARE intern, Wolfe has returned as the weekend evening anchor. Growing up in Blaine, she graduated from the University of Minnesota and feels honored to be back home working in the Twin Cities at her favorite station. Her passion for journalism ignited when she used to watch Katie Couric on the Today Show with her mom before school. She embarked on her career as a multimedia journalist in Madison, WI, facing the challenges of covering Packers and Badger fans for four years. Subsequently, she took on a reporter and fill-in anchor role in Salt Lake City, UT. Later, she made a cross-country move during the pandemic in 2020. She cherished every moment of living in the mountains, including conquering Angels Landing and the Narrows.
Wolfe has covered a range of impactful stories, including the missing and murder case of Gabby Petito, deadly Utah avalanches, a Real Housewives fraud case, the US Open at Erin Hills, a Wisconsin explosion that claimed the life of a Sun Prairie firefighter, and the coverage of Super Bowl 52 in Minnesota. While Morgan has covered a variety of stories, her favorites are human interest features. Her commendable work has earned her an Emmy for live winter weather reporting and an additional 12 nominations. Additionally, she has also been recognized with two Edward R. Murrow Regional Awards for her outstanding contributions to writing and photography.
